Public Health Promotion ist eine Schweizer GmbH mit Sitz in Genf. Wir arbeiten mit einem internationalen Netzwerk von Fachleuten zusammen, die über Fachkenntnisse und politische Erfahrungen in einer Vielzahl von Themen im Bereich der öffentlichen Gesundheit verfügen.  Wir finden für herausfordernde Probleme die geeigneten Fachpersonen.

Founder: Bertino Somaini, a medical doctor from Switzerland with a specialization in Preventive Medicine and Public Health founded Public Health Promotion 10 years ago. He was Vice-Director in the Federal office of Public Health, Switzerland for 12 years and CEO of Health Promotion Switzerland for 8 years. He worked with the University of Zurich and the Università della Svizzera italiana, teaching Public Health and Communication.  Bertino has consulted on prevention and health promotion to various international organizations, including WHO, UNICEF. He has a wide expertise in the work with members of NGO, governments, and international organizations within Public Health, Prevention and Health Promotion. Bertino helped strengthen health promotion infrastructure in several countries, and in Switzerland has developed a number of national programs and campaigns on HIV/Aids, healthy weight in children including a monitoring and evaluation project. Of special interest is the ability to analyse successes and failures of different approaches as well as political decision process.

 

CEO:  Kai Engelhardt, an economist, worked as a risk assessor and (re)-insurance specialist for over 15 years in different countries across America, Asia, Australia and Europe. With profound management experience and technical knowledge Kai has participated and led Mergers & Acquisition projects of insurance and reinsurance companies. In his time as assistant to the board of management at Munich Re, Kai has gained a profound understanding of the complexities of running large businesses. He has also held many consultancy positions, the latest being at the Asian Development Bank.  Kai is founder of executivesportsconsult, a network of professional supporting business executives in achieving their long lasting objectives by providing structured training and health programs.

Senior advisor: Katrin Engelhardt, a public health nutritionist and scientist has over 15 years of experience in health promotion policy and programme development, implementation and monitoring in Asia and the Pacific, Africa and Europe. She worked as advisor to the local government in Seoul to establish the healthy cities project and helped develop indicators for the Korean Healthy Cities Partnerships, as well as an accreditation system for healthy cities for the WHO regional office for the Western Pacific. She supported the development of the first regional framework on urban health  and led Healthy Cities leadership and advocacy workshops, for example in Mongolia and Cambodia. She supported research on national health promotion capacity, as part of the global health promotion capacity building exercise conducted in preparation for the 5th Global Conference on Health Promotion. As Regional Nutrition Advisor of the WHO regional office for the Western Pacific she led the development, implementation and monitoring of the regional action plan to reduce the double burden of malnutrition and worked closely with governments to adapt the regional plan to the countries context. Katrin worked as visiting researcher at the Korean Institute for Health and Social Affairs, and as lecturer in Universities in Australia, Germany, and the Republic of Korea. She has consulted for a number of international and non-government organizations.
